Introduction of organization
REIL–Rajasthan Electronics And Instruments ltd. is a public sector unit having a prominent place among the Electronics Industry of Rajasthan.
It was established in 1981.
REIL is an ISO 9001 public sector undertaking started as a joint venture between RIICO(Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation) and Instrumentation Limited, Kota with 49% and 51% ownership respectively.
REIL has its Headquarters and Works at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
REIL has its Registered office & Manufacturing facilities situated at the Kanakpura Industrial area.
PRODUCTS IN WHICH REIL IS INVOLVED:
REIL is involved in various products useful in daily life. They are :
1. Electronic Milk Tester
2. Automatic Milk Collection Station (AMCS)
3. Data Processor- Electronic Milk Tester
4. Electronic SNF Tester
5. Solar Photo Voltaic Modules (SPV)
6. Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)
7. Spot Billing Machine
8. 3- Phase Static Energy Meter

MINI RATNA award : In the year 1997 , for its all round performance and excellent products by the department of public enterprises, ministry of industry, government of India.
Electronics excellence award : 1991 & 2001 by Government of India.
ISO – 9001 CERTIFICATION implies capabilities from Design to supply & commissioning.
INDIAN DAIRY ASSOCIATION (WESTZONE) award.
Silicon in Solar Cells
A solar cell has silicon with impurity atoms mixed in with the silicon atoms.
In photovoltaic module both N-type silicon and P- type silicon are used.
Photovoltaic cell always has at least one electric field.
Without an electric field, the cell wouldn’t work and this electric field is formed when the N- type and P-type silicon are in contact.
SPV Cells
Solar cells, also called photovoltaic’s (PV) by solar cell scientists, convert sunlight directly into electricity.
Solar cells are often used in power calculators and watches.
They are made up of semiconducting materials similar to those used in computer chips.
These material absorb the sunlight , thereby knocking out loose electrons from their atoms, allowing the electrons to flow through the material to produce electricity.
This process of converting light (photons) to electricity (voltage) is called the photovoltaic (PV) effect
APPLICATIONS OF SPV MODULES
The Hubbell telescope utilizes solar panels for its energy requirements.
Locally produced car batteries can provide up to 5 nights of energy for 8 watt DC.
Some electric lighting systems provide sufficient current up to 10 hours of lightning each evening.
A photovoltaic (PV) or solar cell is the basic building block of a PV (or solar electric) system. To boost the power output of PV cells, we connect them together to form larger units called modules. Modules, in turn, can be connected to form even larger units called arrays.
