R and D Spirits: Taking on the Challenge of Next-generation Ultrahigh-precision Processing Technology
ABSTRACT
Founded in 2003, NTT-AT Nanofabrication Corporation (NTT-AT N) has the mission of developing and manufacturing
leading-edge, ultrafine products using nanotechnology inherited from NTT Laboratories and NTT Advanced Technology
(NTT-AT). While providing the semi-conductor industry with an array of products that hold the key to next-generation LSIs,
the company is also intent on applying nanotechnology to fields outside semiconductors in response to client needs. President
Akinori Shibayama, who has long been involved with high-precision processing technology since his days at NTT
Laboratories, talks about current trends in this technology and the direction of new product development.
