Introduction

The “Online Restaurant System(Intranet)” is developed to overcome the most of the problems occurring in the manual system by computerizing the existing system. The features of the newly proposed computerized system are described in brief as below:
After computerizing the system, the user of the system can finish his/her work in least amount of time and efforts. The computerized system has many gains and efforts, which the manual system can’t give, in any type of situations.
Computerized systems are most helpful in dealing with areas where database comes into the existence. A computer can hold large amount of data in its storage devices and it can operate at very high speed. The user can perform any type of task which when done manually is tedious and time consuming.
This system works differently for user and administrator. For user, this system lets us enter their personal details and other information. For administrator, this system filters out detail information list.
Even through unstable economic times, people will always need food. The restaurant industry is prospering and it’s easy to see why. Not only is food a necessity, but the restaurant experience is an escape from daily life. It’s a break from cooking and cleaning in the kitchen. It’s a social experience with friends or family. It’s an easy way to treat yourself with a well-cooked meal or a few cocktails at the end of a long work day.

Defining Online Restaurant:
 
The project titled “Online Restaurant System” is a useful to user who wants to order different cuisine of Food at one stop. The project contains the all the different food dishes coming from all different types of cuisines. On the whole a single click can get a user its best food items and over and above can see the duration of recipe and simply enjoy the best food in town at easy ordering.
 
Advantages:

It is useful for user who want to order different cuisine of food at one stop.
Maintain the user demand easily.
This system is develop to overcome the problem occurring in manual system by computerizing the existing system.
It perform the task of generating order efficiently and effectively.
It is fast and user friendly.

Limitations

User i.e. Customer and Chef have general knowledge of Computer Operating.
Maintenance cost of this system is very high so normal restaurant cannot affords the system.
After the confirmation of the Chef, Customer unable to change the ordered items.
Items search is tedious job compare to menu.
Power Failure or Network failure makes system idle.
No Control of Admin on Chef as well as customer during the conversion between them.
