SOLID MODELLING OF JCB PARTS USING AUTOCAD 2010

[attachment=39894]

ABSTRACT:

In these days material handling system plays a very important role while handling the material . By the use of labours in the every department ( material handling system) is a difficult to manage them. By the using of automation in the handling of material becomes less in material handling cost and less time consumption and more convenient
Our project is that modelling one of a material handling equipment like JCB including different engineering fields like transmission system in automobile, hydraulics in fluid mechanics are designed in autoCAD .
In this project we are presenting the every component of jcb part by assuming and by considering data available on the web.
Modelling of different parts of JCB is done using the autoCAD package and assembled it by the auto CAD itself .

Introduction to autocad:

Autocad is a powerful drafting and design package used In many industries and educational institutions all over the world. It is a flexible user –friendly software that lets the user to create 2D&3D models for a wide variety of applications.
The first software of autocad come into market in december 1982 and release-10 in 1988 the latest version of autocad-2012.
But we used autocad-2010 version V3.

Types of modelling:

Solid modelling: Create new 3D solids and surfaces, or sweep, combine, and modify existing objects. Create or convert objects to mesh to obtain enhanced smoothing and creasing capabilities. You can also use simulated surfaces (3D thickness), or wireframe models to represent 3D objects.
Geometric modelling: a model is a representation of same features of a concrete or the over all entities for the people to visualize and understand the structure or behaviour of the entity and also provides the nearly changes in model.
There are several methods of representing the object in geometric modelling. The basic form is the wire frame model. The wire frame model divides into three types.
2D two dimensional object representation is done only by two axes i.e., xy, yz, xz
3D three dimensional object represented in 3 axis or x,y,z
21/2D it requires a profile and a extruded vector extruded plane is perpendicular to the sketch plane.

Front hoe (front arm loader):

It consists of front bucket with teeth, two main beams, supporting links for convenient movement of bucket ,and actuating plunger system.
The commands used to draw front hoe is that line, ellipse, arc, subtract, extrude, circle, scale, polygon, 3D rotate, rectangle.
It is to handle the large quantity of volume.

Back hoe:

It consists of two rigid links and narrow bucket(to dig the deep the soil) and actuating system.
This back hoe is rigidly connected to the main frame by a rigid link which is pivoted at a particular axis and oscillated by the actuating plungers which is shown in figure.
The commands used to draw line, circle, arc, scale, rectangle, ellipse, mirror, copy, extrude, subtract.
