INTRODUCTION

Fuel like coal and petroleum are in the service of human kind since the immemorial. These fuels generated from the plants and animals, have been stored under earth some million years before these were put to use by the present human race. With increasing power consumption and increase in number of transport vehicles the coal pits and petroleum vessel are going emptied within short period. For the need of future race a great devastation is required to bury the biosphere under the earth for continuous harvesting of fuel from lithosphere.
The world at present is heavily depends upon petroleum fuels for transportation and for operating agriculture machinery. As few of the nations are petroleum producers led to high price fluctuations and uncertainties’ of supply for consuming nations.
India is one among the largest fuel consuming nations. India imports 70% of its petroleum demand; widely fluctuating world prices of oils the establishing element for the balance of the country’s economy.
India ranks sixth in the world in terms of energy demand accounting for 3.5% of world commercial energy demand in 2006. The energy demand is expected to grow at 4.8%. The petroleum import is currently 600 billion rupees that is about 30%of total import and 0.4 of total GDP. The current yearly consumption of diesel oil India is 40 million tones forming about 40% of the total petroleum product consumption.

FUTURE SCOPE OF WORK

The future related works of compressed air hybrid vehicle are as follow:-
1. Our radial piston air motor that uses a progressive chamber management configuration to minimize air consumption.
2. The motor produces high torque outputs at low RPMs eliminates the need for a transmission further increasing its efficiency.
3. The vehicle will have an uncomplicated REGENERATING BREAKING SYSTEM that will be engaged by simple reversing the motor to act as compressors during deceleration and braking.
4. According to the Rocky Mountain Institute , for every pound of vehicle weight reduction the resulting weight loss factor is 1.5.
5. The air motor exhaust can be used for cooling the compartment, thus eliminating the requirement of air conditioning system.
6. The engine can be hybridized with some other non-conventional energy source to increase its efficiency and to bring it use for various other applications.
