INTRODUCTION

Mobile TV is the watching of television in the mobile device. This is the new era of mobile communication. Here we can watch television anytime and anywhere on the mobile devices .
The whole of the process comes under DMB(digital multimedia broadcasting),by the help of this we can even watch normal television in buses,cars and remote areas where cables and cannot reach.

WHAT IS MOBILE TV ?

Mobile TV is a wireless television network by the help of which we can be able to watch television on our mobile devices.
Mobile TV give access to all the TV channels over it network so that we can access any channel anytime and anywhere with the help of
mobile devices.

WHY MOBILE TV ?

Watching TV independently of location (TV-Anywhere)
> Transportation vehicles (train, bus, boat, car..)
> Public places (cafeteria, railway station, waiting spaces...)
> Private spaces (home, summer house...)

Watching TV independently of time (TV-Anytime)

Emerging technology is enabling mobile use:
> Terminals: mobile phone, PDA , tablet-PC,...
> Digital television network (DVB-T) has high capacity and is
able to transmit to mobile terminals, if equipped with
correct parameters.
> New TV standard for mobile reception (DVB-H)
> Internet Protocols can be used in broadcasts (IP-datacast)

S-DMB

The S-DMB( satellite digital multimedia broadcasting ) provides Mobile TV service through we can be able to see TV programs in mobile devices such as mobile , laptops, tv sets in remote areas by getting the signal directly from satellite.
Ku-Band (13.824~13.883GHz) is used between the Signal Transmission Center and satellite and S-Band (2.630~2.655 GHz, 25MHz) is utilized between satellite (Or Gap Filler) and the terminals. Further, Ku-Band (12.214~12.239GHz) is used between satellite and Gap Filler (Base Station).
