WIRELESS RF CONTROLLED ROBOT

[attachment=43252]

ABSTRACT:

Now, a day’s robots are vastly used in many industries for performing different activities.
Here by designing control system for the robot such that the robot is controlled using wireless RF communication.
This project deals with RF controlled robot. The objective of this project is prototype for the “path finder”. This can be moved forward, reverse, left, right directions using geared motors of 100RPM.
This is implemented in one of the application i.e. metal detection

INTRODUCTION:

The RF modules used here are STT-433 MHz transmitter, STR-433 receiver, HT12E RF encoder and HT12D RF decoder.
Controlling a robot is generally done using a remote control.
It can control the robot upto 200ft distance. In this method controlling is done depending on the feedback provided by the sensor.

WHY RF…? WHY NOT IR…?

Firstly, signals through RF can travel through larger distances making it suitable for long range applications.
Next, RF transmission is more strong and reliable than IR transmission.
RF communication uses a specific frequency unlike IR signals which are affected by other IR emitting sources.

WORKING:

The robot is fixed with local sensors, so they can identify objects closer to them. As the robot moves, sensor searches for mines in war fields.
The main component of the metal detector is the induction coil.

CONCLUSION:

We can conclude that, by using this robot we can detect the presence of mines.
If in case any problem occurs during detection, like explosion of mines & bombs it will cause only the damage of robot, instead of causing the death of civilians or militants. Damage of robot is not a big matter.
