POWER GENERATING SPEED BRAKER

DISCRIPTION
Used for generating power from speed braker.
Energy conservation is done during the process of power generation
Hydraulic system is employed for power generation.
Produced energy is stored in battery and used for lighting street lamps near the speed braker.
The model resembels a piston cylinder arrangement of an IC engine.
Works on the principle of fluid mechanics
Renewable source of energy is produced .
WORKING
As a vehicle passes over the speed braker the spring below the speed braker gets compressed.
The compressed spring exerts a force in the downward direction on the piston beneath the
spring.
The piston pressurises the working fluid to make it pass through a nozzle.
When the pressurised fluid is hit on the turbine,the turbine rotates which inturn generates
power by the use of a generator.
The generated power is stored in a battery and supplied for application.
The housing for the turbine acts as collecting duct from which water is recirculated
To the cylinder.
Suction of water on to the cylinder takes place on the expansion of the spring as vehicel has
passed over it .
