Objectives:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Installing and configuring Windows 2003/2007. Troubleshooting all types OS, software & Hardware Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft outlook and printers, Asset management and Troubleshooting of Network issues, Helpdesk calls, windows server 2003 & 2007 R2, RDB access, Share folder access.
OPERATION AND SUPPORT:
• Installing all type of Operating Systems to the users using WDS server.
• Configuring outlook mail account to the users
• Managing overall hardware and software support
• System assembling and asset management
• Installing Security based software’s and regular updates
• Installing printers and Configuring to the users
• Installing Project related software’s for the users
• Capturing Windows Deployment Services XP and Win 2007.
• Maintain around 200 users under the process.
• Installing Symantec Antivirus 10.0 & 9.0 corporate Edition and NAV to the user machines.
• Attending Helpdesk Calls and Response to the user( In Voice and Non voice Technical Support)
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for account Locking
MAINTENANCE:
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
• Upgrade and configure system software that supports GIS infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
• Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
• Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
NETWORK SUPPORT:
• Providing General Network and VPN Connectivity for the project requested(C2S,S2S,SSL)
• Doing VLAN changes with Network team.
• Resolving VPN connectivity related issues.
• LINUX SITUE :
• Linux basic install and troubleshooting
• Red Hat Linux, Fedora, Solaris.
• Cisco routers, switches, Hubs, Raid, SCSI, Modems, Network Cards Memory, Printers, Plotters, Scanners and other peripherals, Wireless Modems
SERVER ADMINISTRATOR:
• Active Directory configuration of windows server for account locking.
• Terminal Services- Remote desktop Services, Terminal Services
• Group policy management and DNS management.
• Providing share folder access for the users.
• Maintaining disk spaces and data backup in server.
• Management of ADS, DNS and DHCP Servers
• Configuring and Managing Windows Server 2003/2008 Servers, and windows clients (Windows XP, Windows 7) systems.
• .Sharing Folders, Planning and Assigning NTFS Permissions and also assigning Disk Quota as per requirements. System Policies and Hardware Profiles
• Handling Virtual desktops through VM Ware Sphere client.
• Performed remote support using tools like VNC, DAMEWARE, and Microsoft Remote Assistance tool, Net meeting.
