MINI BOILER WITH STEAM CALORIMETER
AIM: To Determine the Dryness Fraction of Wet Steam.
Boiler is the equipment used to boil the fluid to which it causes the fluid to be agitated & rises its temperature in order to change its phase (from water to vapour) boiler is also defined as a vessel used for boiling.
Steam Calorimeter is used to measure the dryness fraction of the steam. There are no. of steam calorimeter to determine the drynees fraction of wet steam.In this calorimeter the wet steam is first collected in a perforated collecting pipe & then passed through a separating calorimeter a part of water is removed in the separating calorimeter owing to quick change of direction of flow. The method ensures that the steam will be super heated after throttling. This instrument is well insulated to prevent any loss of heat.
