What is the problem?

Security has become a major problem nowadays, majorly in service sector organizations such as public and private enterprises, business organizations, banks and many others.
The major security problem is security to door access. For ex: At ATM centers, banks, Government offices, information centers, book room, athenaeum where important documents are kept.

SOLUTION

Authentication or authenticate which means give authority, proof or the security.
This is done by using a Password authentication system which works wirelessly.
This system helps to allow only legitimate users and blocks un-authorized persons.

Importance

The major importance of wireless based password authentication system is that one which provides security from about a range of 100mts making user friendly.
Easy access to the user blocking un-authorized users.

Quick abstract

Basically the project is divided by two sections, the transmitter and the receiver.
The password is given to the transmitting section through the keypad, then encoded and transmitted.
If the password matches with the inbuilt password or code present in the receiver then the password will be displayed at the lcd or else the lcd displays wrong password.

Keypad description

The keypad used for this project is a 4 row(r1,r2,r3,r4) 4 column(c1,c2,c3,c4) keypad know as 4x4 keypad respectively.
This total 8 pins are connected to the port 1.0 to 1.7 of the microcontroller.
When a switch is pressed say ex: 1 then r1 and c1 will be set to logic β€˜1’or else by default all pins will be logic β€˜0’

Encoder


The encoder used is HT12E.
HT12E converts the parallel inputs into serial output.
HT12E is an encoder integrated
circuit of 212 series of encoders.
They are paired with 212 series of
decoders for use in remote
control system applications.

MICROCONTROLLER

The microcontroller used here is the Atmel 89C51 microcontroller.
It is used in both transmitter and receiver .
In this project it is used to transmit the 8 bit serial data at the transmitter.
In the receiver it not only receives the 8 bit serial data and also compare the received 8 bit data with the inbuilt data.

Rf transmitter

The transmitter used here is stt433 tx
It works at radio frequency of 433MHZ
It has four pins
GND, DATA,VCC, ANT
(connected to transmit
Enable).
respectively.
The STT-433 is ideal for remote control applications where low cost and longer range is required. The transmitter operates from at 1.5-12V supply.
