Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues that are enterprise systems-related
Windows 2003/2008 R2 Servers deployment and Configuration, Managing Active directory, DNS and DHCP Servers, Managing Cluster Services -- Installation & Administration, Managing file servers (MS Cluster servers) and print servers.
Installation, Configuration, Administration and Trouble shooting of ESX, Virtual Center, VI Client, Installation and configuration of virtual machines in an Enterprise SAN and NAS environment, Migrate Physical Servers to Virtual Server using VMware Converter (P2V Converter), Performing Snapshots, Cloning, cold migrations and hot migrations, Moving VM’s from one LUN to another LUN using Storage VMotion.
Managing HP Proliant, Dell and IBM servers and Blade servers, add/replace the faulty peripherals, upgrading the firmware software as per requirement.
Responsibility:
Server Support including operating system and hardware for 20+Windows Servers of Win2k in three different locations in India
Server support include AD Domain Controllers with AD Integrated DNS, IIS Web servers, terminal servers, file, print and data servers
Performed all levels of hardware and software systems support for 500 computers and 100 printers.
Responsible for e-mail system and Internet Information Server, meeting employee and customer needs 24/7
Managed all new install projects for servers, switches, and other network resources.
Developed and updates documentation, appraising users and administrators of vital information.
Created user manuals and provided technical support sessions for new employees.
Administrated and maintained environment security. Involved with administering security alerts to staff and weekly data backups.
