INTRODUCTION
Microstrip antennas are low profile,conformable to planar and non planar surfaces.thus we have attempted to design aN microstrip patch antenna which operates for the WLAN frequency of 5.5 GHz.this antenna works on narrow band fdrerquency.by adding appropriate design to the patch by etching it in a certain fashion we have obtained this microstrip antenna which works for WLAN.
the software simulation used for this antenna is HFSS.this is a simulation tool which provides simulation of different categoriesx of antennas.it helps us to facilitate design of various antennas,its modification.it shows 2D as well as 3D view of the created object.it shows the radiation pattern in both dimensions.
thus our antenna picks up only 5.5 ghz of frequency and rejects all othger frequencies.
