ONLINE MOVIE TICKET BOOKING &RESTAURANT BOOKING SYSTEM

Introduction to the Project:
Purpose:
The Online movie ticket and Restaurant booking system is basically made for providing the customer an anytime and anywhere service for booking seats in the cinema hall and booking table in the restaurants and also to gather information about the movies and restaurants online. The user can easily be able to know about the movies released, restaurants information available and then make the choice.
This system enable customers to make movie ticket and restaurant bookings quickly & easily. Enable restaurants and theaters to increase exposure which in turn increases revenue.
In this document, we will illustrate our system by providing DFD (Data FLOW Diagrams) on some functions and we will also provide some process description. Admin can use the system to insert and delete data (e.g. film description, time table, restaurant details) which will update the webpage (webpage are dynamic page, changing according to the data in database). Also, admin can check the statistic information from the system.
Scope of the Project:
Using this system, users can easily book the movie ticket they can choose the desired seats and restaurant tables. This system will reduce the time and risk to the users when compare with manual system. The project performs intended function with required precision. The registered user’s files can be stored in centralized database which can be maintained by the system. Authentication is provided for this application only registered users can access.
Problems of Existing System:
Through the existing system process which is purely manual process and time taking process. There are chances of having incorrect seat representation to users. In the existing system, the user has to make a call or personally go to the cinema hall to book the ticket and also many times to wait for the restaurant tables.
Proposed System:
In this system registered user can view the movies and restaurants information by opening the site. They can book the ticket they can choose the desired seats and restaurant tables. User Friendliness is provided in the application with various controls provided by system Rich User Interface. The system makes the overall project management much easier and flexible. It can be accessed over the Intranet. The registered user’s files can be stored in centralized database which can be maintained by the system. Authentication is provided for this application only registered users can access.
Modules Description:
1. Administrator:
Administrator is the owner of the site. He can add the states, cities, cinemas.He can add Manager and gives the credentials to managers. He can change his password.
2. Manager:
Manager is the person who manages the cinema hall and restaurant details in a particular city. He must be login to system with his credentials which are provided by the administrator. He can able to manage the classes under his cinema hall. He can add screen. He can design the screen layout. He can add shows i.e., show times to screen which is under his cinema hall. He can add the movie details like name, cast, description, photos. He can add movie to screen by entering show date, show time. He can delete movie also. And also manager can change his password.
3. User:
User can login to the system through the first page of the application. He can change the password after logging into the system. He can see the now showing and upcoming movies. He can see the list of restaurants in different cities. He can book the show nothing but ticket booking and book tables in restaurants.
He should be able to choose the seats which are available for a certain class in different cinemas. He can select seats from selected class as well for same show and screen also. The system should automatically show the fare for the corresponding shows and amount of money to be paid for selected seats. After payment he can able to see his ticket details.
He should be able to search restaurants based of cities and address and services giving by restaurants. He can select at what time he want to book table in a particular restaurant. He will get confirmation and details of booked table through email.
He can edit his profile.
4. Authentication:
This module provides security to the application. Every user should enter correct user name and password to proceed. This request will goes to database and check the user existing. If you entered wrong user name and password then it prompts you “Incorrect Username or Password…”
5. Registration:
The system has a process of registration. Every user need to submit their complete details including user name and password in the form of registration. Whenever a user registration completed then only a user can get log in into the system by using his user id and password.
6. Ticket Booking:
If User has to book the ticket, first he has registered. After entering in to system he can able to book the ticket by selecting movie, show date, show time, no of tickets.
He can choose the class and he can also choose seats. After choosing the seats he will be asked to pay amount as per selected class fare. He can view ticket details.
CONCLUSION
• It is easy to use, since it uses the GUI provided in the user dialog.
• User friendly screens are provided.
• The usage of software increases the efficiency, decreases the effort.
• It has been efficiently employed as a discussion forum.
• It has been thoroughly tested and implemented.
• The project has been appreciated by all the users in the organization.
