PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS
Theory :
A composite material or a composite is a mixture of two or more
distinct constituents all of which are present in reasonable
proportion Classification of composites is based on the nature of
the reinforcement employed i.e. Metals, termetallics, Ceramics,
Polymers.
Procedure :
1. Various models of cubic system are provided.
2. Intermetallic composites models such as FeAl, Fe3Al, NiAl,
Ni3Al, TiAl, Ti3Al are given.
3. From models, Exercise the different properties of cubic
crystals.
Result : Type of cubic cell and its properties are studied.
