ABSTRACT

Intrusion detection plays an important role in
The area of security in wireless sensor network.
The goal of intrusion detection is that when preventive measures fail, WSN’s can identify and resist the attacks by means of intrusion detection techniques.

INTRODUCTION

The WSN is built of several nodes where each node is connected to one sensor.
The sensor nodes is WSN communicate mainly through broadcast instead of point – to- point communications.
There have existed several intrusion detection techniques in wired networks but, they are not suitable for WSN’s and cannot transfer directly to WSN’s

EXISTING SYSTEM

In single sensing detection at a time only one intruder is detected by WSN.

DISADVANTAGE OF EXISTING SYSTEM

The sensed information provided by a single sensor might be inadequate for recognizing the intruder.
Data will not be routed if primary detector fails.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

In heterogeneous wireless sensor networks intruder can be detected easily.

ADVANTAGES

By finding the intruder we can send our information in secure manner.
If primary detector fails the other detectors detects the intruder

Conclusion

Intrusion detection system search for signs of an attack and flag when an intrusion is detected.
In some cases they may take an action to stop the attack by closing the connection or report the incident for further analysis by network adminstrator.
