Hot Surface performance Of Thermal insulating material

Project Introduction :-
Testing of Thermal Insulating Material at elevated temperatures is done on hot surface plate.
The apparatus for this test is fabricated as per the ASTM code C411-11 for this test.
The main aim of this test is to observe the following things :-
Warpage
Extent of cracking
Amount of Delamination
Decrease in thickness along the top of pipe
Any Flaming, Glowing, Smoldering, Smoking.
New Design Features :-
Design of new Body with concept of dual box with insulating material.
Design considering the expansion of body due to high temperature.
Decreasing the height of box.
Use of reflective material at the base of inner box.
Next Targets :-
To do wiring of the heaters using Solid wire.
Also do use of insulating cover for the wire.
Surround the inner box with the insulating material so that heat is retained in the inner box.
Assemble the apparatus for testing.
