Introduction
In rapidly emerging world of technological advancement and innovations, computer has become
a way of life and a driving force of modern industry and businesses. This becomes one of the
most significant tools for more productive operations and accurate results. The web-technology
is going through major changes, as a basis of the development of web-based applications and
informative systems; web-technology is being matured over the past few years.
For this reason, we are about to strive (make great effort) and still vigilant in combining web
development to the practical application of scientific investigations and research. But evidently
the majority of the institutions still do not adapt with in evolving world of technology
particularly like our campus. It is an educational facility with traditional and innovative teaching
and learning opportunities. Our aim is to enable students to achieve the full potential of the
student in terms of academic competencies by focusing on the emotional, social, and educational
needs of each individual.
Mission of the office
Mizan Tepi University is supporting the development of endeavors of the people tackling the
instant problem by utilizing natural resource and cultural values through inculcating scientific
knowledge and skill relevant to the count and assuring quality education. Thus the academic
office also wants to develop endeavors and performs any things in the way of learning and
teaching process.
Vision of the office
Mizan Tepi University aspires(strong desire to achieve) to be the leading higher educational
institution being center of excellence in educational and research area of natural resource and
cultural values utilization for development. Therefore in the same way office of registrar needs to
succeed the campus vision.
Background of the project
Offices of registration (student academic service) were one of the basic services (accessed) by
the student inside the campus.As a purpose, we able to develop an online registration system in
tepi campus to enhance the performance of the service in our campus. Online registration were
not applied (being on operation) in our campus beforehand. The aim and objective of our project
is to provide a sophisticated service for the clients as much as possible. Depending on the service
they provide, their working place were divided into four basic rooms, academic manager, grade
report room, record office and announcement room.
Conclusion
The Online registration System is developed using Java and php fully meets the objectives of
the system for which it has been developed. The system has reached a steady state where all bug
have been eliminated. The system is operated at a high level of efficiency and all the teachers
and user associated with the system understands its advantage. The system solves the problem. It
was intended to solve as requirement specification system to interact and communicate with each
other easily.
