ABSTRACT

Problem Statement

In today’s world where life of every person is very busy, everyone wants to get all type of information at one place, Here In our project “Travelling Information Website” we tries to do so, we develop a travelling website from where anyone can get the information about medium to travel along with distance between the different cities of M.P and fares to travel between them.
Mediums to travel between the cities which we include in the database are Roadways, Railways and Airways. This project is easy-to-use and will prove to be very beneficial for those who are in need of such type of information.

Objectives

Our objective to develop this project is to provide all the information to the users which they need about the travelling mediums, distance to travel and fares to travel between them. We give all the information about three main mediums of travel which includes the Roadways, Railways and Airways. In this site we tries our best to collect the such information and provides it to our users with an easy way to access.

Scope

This project consists of a view of the transport or travel website, which gives us information about the various traveling mediums and fares .This website contains the main cities of Madhya Pradesh and the various means to travel between these cities by any means of transportation as per the requirement of the person. Also it gives the best possible medium between these cities on a live website. Here we are building a website which gives us help in providing the essential information related to travel between two cities.
es of ASP.NET:

Powerful Windows-based Applications

ASP.NET .NET comes with features such as a powerful new forms designer, an in-place menu editor, and automatic control anchoring and docking. ASP.NET .NET delivers new productivity features for building more robust applications easily and quickly. With an improved integrated development environment (IDE) and a significantly reduced startup time, ASP.NET .NET offers fast, automatic formatting of code as you type, improved IntelliSense, an enhanced object browser and XML designer, and much more.

Building Web-based Applications

With ASP.NET .NET we can create Web applications using the shared Web Forms Designer and the familiar "drag and drop" feature. You can double-click and write code to respond to events. ASP.NET .NET 2003 comes with an enhanced HTML Editor for working with complex Web pages. We can also use IntelliSense technology and tag completion, or choose the WYSIWYG editor for visual authoring of interactive Web applications.

Rational Rose 2000 Enterprise Edition

Rational Rose provides support for two essential elements of modern software engineering, component based development and controlled iterative development .While these concepts are conceptually independent, their usage in combination is both natural and beneficial.[Rational Rose’s model-diagram architecture facilitates use of the Unified Modeling Language (UML), Component Object Modeling(COM),Object Modeling Technique (OMT), and Booch ‘93 method for visual modeling. Using semantic information ensures correctness by construction and maintaining consistency].Visual Modeling Increasing complexity, resulting from a highly competitive and ever-changing
business environment, offers unique challenges to system developers. Models help organize, visualize, understand, and create complex things. Visual Modeling is the mapping of real world processes of a system to a graphical representation. Models are useful for understanding problems, communicating with everyone involved with the project (customers, domain experts, analysts, designers, etc.), modeling complex systems, preparing documentation, and designing programs and databases. Modeling promotes better understanding of requirements, cleaner designs, and more maintainable systems. As software systems become more complex, we cannot understand them in their entirety. To effectively build a complex system, the developer begins by looking at the big picture without getting caught up in the details.
