Abstract—This paper briefly describes the importance,
particularity and specificity of mine equipment safety
inspection. It also introduces the requirements of the safety
inspection information system for mine equipment, of which
the exploitation process is normalized by the Unified Modeling
Language (UML) technique. The goal of this paper is to
present a scheme to design and integrate modeling the safety
inspection information system. We adopt the five steps to
design the scheme, and the design scheme of the system is made
up of activity diagrams, package diagrams, use case diagrams,
sequence diagrams, deployment diagrams using UML. The
scheme can provide certain reference values for designers,
developers, and architects to analysis and design of related
information system.

I. INTRODUCTION
With local economic development in China, the coal
demand from various enterprises such as cement, metallurgy,
and power plants grows rapidly, and then our society has put
forward higher requirements of safety production in the
current coal mine. On the other hand, the mine equipment is
a material base and necessary condition of coal production,
and plays an extraordinary important role during the safety
production, the economic operation and the development of
the coal mine. In the practical process of coal production,
there is the mine equipment maintenance and repair
department to daily inspect and maintain the equipments,
apparatus, devices and instruments of the coal mine, but in
China, these equipments should be carried on the regular
safety inspection by the qualified safety inspection
institutions, which are appointed by the coal mine
supervision bureau [1]. Because of the safety inspection
having different items and contents, and the inspection data
containing a large amount of information that needs to
collect, sort and query, it is very necessary to design and
research a safety inspection management system for mine
equipment.
In this paper, we take the inspection work requirements
of the special equipment inspection centre in dezhou city as
example, and use the UML technique to analyze and design a
safety inspection management system for mine equipment.
The main contents of this paper contain four parts: In section
2, we expound the requirements of this system; We briefly
introduce the analytical method of this system, including the
characteristics of object oriented analysis and design, the
advantage of UML language, and the five steps of analysis
and design information system in section 3; In section 4, we
present the design scheme of this system in detail, mainly
including activity diagrams, package diagrams, use case
diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams and
deployment diagrams using the UML technique; We draw
the conclusion in the final section.
