What is Printer?

Printer is an output device which gives a print out of the information stored on the computer.
This is usually referred to as hard copy.
In other words, printer is a device which prints text or information on paper.

Parts of Inkjet Printer

Print head: The core of an inkjet printer, the print head contains a series of nozzles that are used to spray drops of ink.
Electric field: These are two plates that charges unwanted drops.
Deflecting Plates: It deflects unwanted charged drops and falls them into gutter.
Gutter: It is an important part of the printer which collects unwanted drops and recycle them.
Ink cartridges: Ink cartridges come in various combinations, such as separate black and color cartridges, color and black in a single cartridge or even a cartridge for each ink color.
Rollers: A set of rollers pull the paper in from the tray or feeder and advance the paper when the print head assembly is ready for another pass.

Explanation of working of Inkjet Printer

The software application sends the data to be printed to the printer driver.
The driver translates the data into a format that the printer can understand
The data is sent by the driver from the computer to the printer via the connection interface USB.
The printer uses electric charge in its working.
when the nozzle moves back and forth during printing. And ejects a thin stream of ink.
When the ink ejects it converts into extremely small droplets.
These uncharged droplets fall on the sheet of paper. And prints required documents.

Importance of Inkjet printers

Inkjet printers has much importance Now-a-days. They print black and white documents quickly and they can be used for a variety of different colour printing needs including photographs, signs, invitations, labels, cards and presentation materials. They are the most common type of computer and consumer printer due to their low cost, high quality of output, capability of printing in various colours, and ease of use.
