“Blocker truck”
A truck that weighs at least 6,800 kilograms and has four way flashers and a mounted flashing arrow-board sign
“Sign truck”
A vehicle that has:
Four-way flashers and a mounted flashing arrow-board sign, or
A portable trailer with a mounted flashing arrow-board sign
“Freeway”
Controlled-access highway that has a continuous dividing median and a normal posted speed limit of 90 km per hour or more
“Mobile operation”
Work, including a paving operation, that is done on a highway or the shoulder of a highway and moves along at speeds less than 30 km/h.

General Construction : 67 (1)
A worker, who may be endangered by vehicular traffic shall be protected as far as is practicable by,
(a) worker using signs to direct traffic;
(b) warning signs;
©barriers;
(d) lane control devices
(e) flashing lights or flares.
Traffic Protection Plan
Employer shall develop in writing and implement a traffic protection plan for workers if any may be exposed to a hazard from vehicular traffic
Plan shall include:
Vehicular traffic hazards and measures described in subsection (2) to be used to protect workers and
Shall be kept at the project and made available to an inspector or a worker on request
Adequate Barriers Set Up
Adequate barriers to protect workers shall be installed:
On a freeway
If not a mobile operation and
Is expected to take more than five days to complete
