Structural classification of the aircraft

Air frame structure can classified in to three groups considering the stress that affect and the safety of the aircraft. There are;
Primary structure

Important of this type is By failing of this type of part in the aircraft can be deserve major accident. Because these parts are stand to high stress in aircraft. By failing this primary structure in flight or ground;
Secondary structure
These parts of the air frame lightly stressed, but if damage will not cause fail of the aircraft or loss of life. But still it can make a big damage. For an example, when the secondary structure connected to the primary structure, somehow if secondary structure fail and damage to the primary one also, then it can lead to major accident.
Then the importance of this secondary structure is massive. Example parts can be gives as secondary structure;

Tertiary structure

If upper spar fail the lower part of the spar can hold it, this is basically fail safe design of structure. But after fail there upper part we can’t hold it to throughout the flight, we have to repair it. This spar is one fail safe structure if we consider the other fail safe structure as well;
