INDIAN AUTOMOBILE or TWO WHEELER INDUSTRY
INTRODUCTION
Automobile is one of the largest industries in global market. Being the leader in product and process technologies in the manufacturing sector, it has been recognized as one of the drivers of economic growth. During the last decade, well directed efforts have been made to providea new look to the automobile policy for realizing the sector's full potential for the economy.Aggressive marketing by the auto finance companies have also played a significant role in boosting automobile demand, especially from the population in the middle income group.A Nations economy is well known from its transport system. For instant and rapid growth ineconomy, a well-developed and well-networked transportation system is essential. As India'stransport network is developing at a fast pace, Indian Automobile Industry is growing too.Also, the Automobile industry has strong backward and forward linkages and hence providesemployment to a large section of the population. Thus the role of Automobile Industry is veryessential in Indian economy. Various types of vehicles are manufactured by the AutomobileIndustry. Indian Automobile Industry includes the manufacturing of trucks, buses, passenger cars, defence vehicles, two-wheelers.The two-wheeler manufacturing is dominated by companies like TVS, Honda Motorcycle &Scooter India (Pvt.) Ltd., Hero Honda, Yamaha, Bajaj, etc.
LIMITATIONS:-
Despite all possible efforts in conducting the research there was some unavoidable situation, which limited the scope of this dissertation. The limitations of the dissertation fall under the following:-
1.This dissertation is confined on the basis of secondary data collected only hence it reliable data for the study.
2.As the research is based on the data that already available and collected through various means not includes the survey, hence it imposes limitations, as it is just possible that the secondary data may be unsuitable or may be inadequate in the context of the topic under study.
3.One of the major limitation of the study is that, as the data is collected though the secondary means, hence it creates uncertainties regarding the methods of the data collection, time of data collected, and any bias of the compiler during the previous research and at the time of data collection.
4. Limitation of time & resources were a major factor influencing the research study.
5.The research guide has helped us though at the project study, yet his busy time schedule restricted as to cut short our discussions though detailed discussions were required for the project.
