Sniffer - Find your lost phone
A cell phone is considered a best method of communication system that is being used for day-to-day communication. Nowadays, the great use of mobile phones has increased the problem of getting it lost or lost. As a solution, Sniffer for mobile phones has become in existence. The IMEI number that is embedded in mobile phones will block calls and help in the purpose of detection. Sniffer is a transceiver device that operates in a range of frequencies designed to operate. Each mobile phone will have an IMEI number associated with it. IMEI is defined as International Mobile Equipment Identity. IMEI is a unique 15-digit code used to detect mobile phones. The IMEI number can be identified using the code * # 06 #. When a mobile phone is switched on, the IMEI number is transmitted and later the number will be verified with the database of the phones with gray or black in the EIR register. EIR is defined as the device ID record that will help the mobile phone log into the network to receive and make phone calls. What's inside a Sniffer? Sniffer device also known as mobile base station consists of components such as:
SBS is a transceiver that will operate at a frequency that is very different from the cellular frequency at which the detection operation is being performed. Unidirectional antenna helps in the detection of the mobiles by the sniffer device. To receive or transmit the data signal, the antenna would operate at specified frequencies. The tracking software helps in the tracking process of lost mobile phones. The program is mainly written in C or Java. Working of Sniffer Fig. 1 shows the operation of the vacuum cleaner. Figure 1 shows the operation of the mobile with the base station. Here the BTS acts as the station for communication between the mobile phone and the Mobile Switching Center. Sniffer device to detect lost mobile phones IMEI number provides user authorization. Then, the authentication of the mobile phone is done within the Device Identifier Register. This register is located in the MSC and contains the IMEI number of the lost mobile phone and if the signal is obtained from normal then the bidirectional communication is established. The IMEI of the mobile phone number lost once has been reported to the service provider, which keeps track of the record of lost mobile phones. The MSC maintains the information of all mobile phones with IMEI number and the IMEI number has the location information of the lost mobile phones. Due to two-way communication, BTS of the lost device is known by MSC. After the information regarding the IMEI number of the lost device is provided by the MSC. This is entered into the main memory of the sniffers. The sniffer located in the particular cell detects the lost device. The base station disconnects the connection with the lost mobile phone as there is a request related to this action from the MSC EIR part. This causes the lost device to search the BTS for blocking, as each base station does not have authorization capability. The lost device sends the appropriate connection request signal. Now, when the sniffer device is being deployed and this device has a built-in authorization capability, the lost device will find that the sniffer is locked at the frequency of the sniffer. Advantage
