There are some great features of a Local Area Network. Most are used for Business use. Local Area Networks help send, share, and synchronize files all in a short distance for faster connections and download speeds!
Key features:
• Fast connection
• Easy file sharing in a short distance
• Great for synchronizing data over many computers
• Printing from all computers (if you have printer sharing on)
A local area network (LAN) is a privately own computer network that connects computers and other information processing device within a limited area (few kilometers) such as a home, school/classroom, building, manufacturing plant, computer laboratory, or office building using network media. In many organizations, it has become commonplace for LANs to provide telecommunications network capabilities that link end users in departments, offices, and other workgroups. Coaxial cable, ordinary wiring, and even wireless radio and infrared systems, to interconnect microcomputer workstations and computer peripherals are some examples of LANs that are used with telecommunications media.
Electronic Payment is a financial exchange that takes place online between buyers and sellers. The content of this exchange is usually some form of digital financial instrument (such as encrypted credit card numbers, electronic cheques or digital cash) that is backed by a bank or an intermediary, or by a legal tender
Hacking
In its modern sense, computer hacking means gaining unauthorized access to computer and network resources often, but not always, with malicious intent. Hackers break into computer systems by exploiting security vulnerabilities, such as poor configuration of Web servers, disabled security controls or poorly chosen or default passwords. Hackers may modify existing computer resources and settings without consent and, in so doing, cause damage or disruption to computer systems or network.
domain name
Domain names are used to identify one or more IP addresses. For example, the domain name microsoft.com represents about a dozen IP addresses. Domain names are used in URLs to identify particular Web pages. For example, in the URL http://www.pcwebopediaindex.html, the domain name is pcwebopedia.com.
Every domain name has a suffix that indicates which top level domain (TLD) it belongs to. There are only a limited number of such domains. For example:
•gov - Government agencies
•edu - Educational institutions
•org - Organizations (nonprofit)
•mil - Military
•com - commercial business
•net - Network organizations
•ca - Canada
•th - Thailand
