This is one of the most cost-effective (cheap) and simple emergency light circuits developed for Circuits Today - This is an automatic emergency light with daytime light sensor means that it detects night / night and automatically turns on. Similarly, it detects daylight and automatically shuts off.
A simple emergency lamp that does not require any special equipment; Even a multimeter to mount and use. Anyone who can do a good quality welding should be able to build this circuit successfully. This can easily be accommodated in the Emergency Lamp of two 6-watt tubes or any emergency lamp type PL tube. The difference will be at work; Will work non-stop for more than 8 hours. The deep discharge is taken care of by the LED feature and over the protection of the load is taken care by the fixed voltage regulator. This uses a simple 3Pin fixed regulator that has a built-in current limiting circuit. The only adjustment required is the preset that must be set to ensure that the LEDs are lit (must be left in that position). The 5mm LDR is mounted just above the emergency light as shown in the photograph. LDR is used to prevent it from illuminating during the day or when the room lights are on. 2 LEDs are used in series; Drop resistance is avoided and 2 LEDs are lit with the current that is required for a single LED, so the power is saved to a great extent.
Automatic principle of the emergency light circuit
When the power supply is available, the battery is charged through diode D2. At the same time, white LEDs will glow according to light conditions. When power fails, white LEDs that are connected MOSFET will glow based on the light condition until the battery is turned off. When LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) is in light, the resistance of LDR is very low. As a result, the base of transistor Q1 becomes high. As a result, the white LEDs that are connected to MOSFET are turned off.When the circuit is in darkness, the LDR resistance is in the order of mega ohms. Now the base of the transistor becomes low, as a result the transistor Q1 switches the white LED to the ON state.
