Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation abbreviated as MSRTC, or simply ST, is the state bus service of Maharashtra, India with 16,500 buses carrying 7 million passengers daily on 18,700 routes. It serves routes to towns and cities within Maharashtra and contiguous states. In addition to the locations within the state of Maharashtra, the MSRTC service also covers destinations in neighboring states. It also offers a facility for online booking of tickets for the 18,700 routes.
MSRTC is operating a fleet of approximately 16,000 buses that carry 7 million passengers daily on 17,000 routes. The Ordinary, Parivartan, Asiad and City buses are built in the MSRTC internal workshops in Dapodi, Aurangabad and Nagpur in Ashok Leyland and the TATA chassis. These workshops produce up to 2,000 buses per year on average. The corporation has 9 tire retreading plants along with 32 divisional workshops.
