PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION:
To design a microcontroller based circuit for continuous monitoring of the transformer oil temperature with thermal overload protection capability.
TRANSFORMER:
Transformer is a static device which transforms A.C electrical power from one voltage level to another voltage level keeping the frequency same by electromagnetic induction.
TRANSFORMER OIL:
Transformer oil is usually a highly-refined mineral oil that is stable at high temperatures and has excellent electrical insulating properties.
It is used in oil-filled transformers to insulate, suppress corona and arcing, and to serve as a coolant.
It also provides part of the electrical insulation between internal live parts, transformer oil must remain stable at high temperatures for an extended period.
