Oblique wing
Oblique wing by saikrishna.pptx (Size: 210.76 KB / Downloads: 37)
The wing is designed to rotate on center pivot, so that one tip is swept forward while the opposite tip is swept aft.
By changing its sweep angle in this way, drag can be reduced at high speed (with the wing swept) without sacrificing low speed performance.
About oblique wing concept
The wing can able to movable about the pivot point .
There can be movable as:
forward sweep,
backward sweep,
Mixed sweep.
Forward sweep:
In this forward sweep , wing stability is less and pitching moment is difficult to operator at that point and aerodynamics center location is difficult and shock wave are attached .
Backward sweep:
In this back sweep , wing stability is stable and pitching moment is can able to operator at that point and the aerodynamic center location is possible and shockwave can be reduces.
RECENT DEVELOPMENTS
The program aims at producing a technology aircraft to explore the various challenges The proposed aircraft would be a pure flying wing (an aircraft with no other auxiliary surfaces such as tails, canards or a fuselage) This aircraft configuration is believed to give it a combination of high speed, long range and long endurance.
