OCB-283 OVERVIEW
Made up of three functional units:-
Subscriber access subsystem
Connection and control subsystem
Operation and maintenance subsystem
SALIENT FEATURE OF OCB-283
It is a switching system with single t stage in which a maximum of 2048 PCM can be connected.
The system has ‘automatic recovery’ feature.
Various units of OCB 283 system are connected over token
rings.
The system has a modular structure.
The SMMs (O&M) are duplicated with one active and other hot standby.
Supports both analogue and digital subscribers
MAIN CONTROL STATION(SMC)
The main control station provides following function-
MR(call handling)
CC(Communication Control)
TR(Translator)
TX(Charging)
MQ(Message distribution)
