SERVO VOLTAGE STABILIZER
SERVO VOLTAGE.ppt (Size: 3.23 MB / Downloads: 282)
Objective
To obtain constant output voltage regardless of fluctuations in available input supply.
Why it is needed?
Supply voltage is of fluctuating nature.
Voltage fluctuations are not healthy for costly equipments in industry.
Autotransformer
It is a variable voltage transformer with only one winding
Role of brush
It provides step less variation of voltage
Its output generally ranges from 0-120% of input voltage
Dc servomotor
High output power relative to motor size and weight.
High torque to inertia ratio.
Motor stays cool.
It can rapidly accelerate loads.
Capable of holding a static position.
Microcontroller
The fast operation of the system is totally based upon, how fast microcontroller senses the I/o, o/p voltage of the system & how fast it sends position signals to the Servomotor.
The AT89S51 is a low-power, high-performance CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 4K bytes of in-system programmable Flash memory.
Some of it’s features are as follows:-
4K Bytes of In-System Programmable (ISP)
Flash Memory
128 x 8-bit Internal RAM
32 Programmable I/O Lines
Two 16-bit Timer/Counters
Six Interrupt Sources
Full Duplex UART Serial Channel
Low-power Idle and Power-down Modes
Watchdog Timer
Dual Data Pointer
Fast Programming Time
Features
The servo stabilizer has a long term stability and efficiency as high as 95%.
Microcontroller makes system compact, automatic and flexible.
Servo motor provides fast operation.
Increase life of tube lights & bulbs.
Applications
For Computers, Xerox Machines etc.
For Micro processor based equipments like C.N.C. Machines
For Medical Equipments.
High capacity 3 Phase Stabilizers for entire factory and vital installations
For Laboratories and process control equipments
Conclusion
This automatic servo stabilized system is for single phase ,which provides constant output voltage regardless of fluctuations in input supply.
