Introduction
Content Management System
It provides a set of procedures used to manage information such as documents, images etc. It helps sharing content among large group of users, facilitates storage and retrieval of data. Simplifies activities such as publishing content, searching, indexing, retrieval of content. It consists of two elements CMA and CDA. Content Management Application (CMA) helps us to manage, modify and removing of content from a webpage without actually knowing about the HTML or CSS. Content Delivery Application (CDA) takes the information given by us and compiles it and displays on the webpage
Joomla is one of the Content Management Systems enabling us to build websites at the ease and it is an open source i.e available to everyone. An Extension is a software package that extends Joomla installation i.e provides some functionality. Plugin is a Joomla extension. Plugins provide functions which are associated with trigger events
Implementation work
• ERD for the content plugin should be revised.
• Making necessary changes in the ERD of the plugins.
• Need to develop fully functional plugins mentioned above.
• Creating the necessary files containing the events or functions which they are intended for.
• Developing the installation files for all the plugins.
• Testing of the plugins
Conclusion and Future Work
• Setting up the live Joomla.
• SRS document for the above plugins should be done.
• Few more useful plugins should be designed.
• More functionalities to be included in the above plugins.
