Abstracts: Kaolin contains 4-6% moisture in it and lumps of kaolin often gets choked in mill feed hopper and outlet channel. We can provide a vibrator to the mill feeder or a dryer before the feeder to remove the moisture of kaolin. The choking in mill feed hopper can be avoided by increasing the area of outlet along with a larger taper angle. The problem of choking arises due to lumps of size greater than 25mm and to reduce it we need to improve the single roller crusher or use a double roller crusher. We take into account the following possible solutions and will work on it. Few more solutions might be added later during the research by considering the advantages of the same. Following are the possible solutions: 1. Increase efficiency of single roller crusher. 2. Provide dryers to remove the moisture. 3. Provide vibrators in the mill feed hopper for smooth flow of kaolin. 4. Increase the cross-sectional area of mill feed hopper at outlet. 5. Replace single roller crusher by double roller crusher. 6. Replace the low speed motor by high speed motor.
