The raison d'être of the MBA professional program at Rai University, Ahmedabad is not only theoretical learning within the classroom or simply the completion of the program, but its sole purpose is to have practical advantage with all the basic aspects of management. An industry visit to Amul Dairy, Anand was organized by the Corporate Cell Phone Team on April 25 for MBA students. The purpose of this visit was to study and understand the production and operation of Amul Dairy.
Amul was formed in 1946 and today it goes without saying that Amul is one of the leading food / dairy brands in India. Amul is the pride not only of Gujarat but also of the whole country. It was a great opportunity for students to visit one of the most renowned Indian Dairy Industries and acquire knowledge about the production line. The museum has a gallery of photos and an auditorium. The Photo Gallery takes a look at the genesis of Amul and its growth in a pictorial way to visitors and infuses confidence in the principle of cooperation and cooperative organizations. Amul initiated the dairy cooperative movement in India and formed an apex cooperative organization called Gujarat Milk Cooperative Federation. It was a wonderful and interactive tour, where students understood the production processes, the products and the operation of one of the best examples of cooperative achievements in the developing economy.
