Fuzzy logic allows designers to control complex systems more effectively than traditional approaches. As it provides a simple way to arrive at a definitive conclusion on ambiguous, inaccurate or noisy information. In this article we have proposed the design of the fuzzy logic controller with three inputs to give the correct washing time of the washer. The goal is to save a lot of time, electricity and water to wash the cloth. The document describes the process that can be used to obtain a wash time suitable for different fabrics. The process is based entirely on the principle of taking non-precise inputs from sensors by subjecting them to diffuse arithmetic and obtaining a clear value of wash time.
Washing machines are a common feature today in the Indian home. The most important utility a customer can get from a washing machine is that it saves the effort they had to put into brushing, shaking and washing the fabric. Most people would not have realized (but can reason very well) that the different type of clothing needs a different amount of washing time that depends directly on the type of dirt, amount of dirt, fabric quality etc. used today (the one that does not use fuzzy logic control) serves the whole purpose of the wash, but what fabric needs what amount of agitation time is a business that has not been properly treated. In most cases, either the user is forced to give the whole cloth the same shaking or is provided with a limited amount of control. The thing is, used washers are not as automatic as they should be and can be. This work aims to present the idea of controlling the washing time using the fuzzy logic control. It is quite clear from the paper itself that this method can be used in practice to further automate washing machines. However, this method, although with a much larger number of input parameters and other complex situations, is being used by giants like LG and Samsung.
