Web conferencing software is suitable for ad hoc meetings and offers only a small range of functions. The host is able to display your desktop through screen sharing as well as pass mouse control and keyboard to your wizards allowing them to control your screen. Features that allow interaction between participants, such as chat, surveys, whiteboards, or marking tools and desktop items, are not included in Web conferencing software.
Participants can attend meetings online through their browser. No download, plug-in, Java or Flash is required. Joining a meeting in this way limits roles for participants, eg. it does not allow them to share their screen.
