The Training and Placement Office, IIT (BHU) Varanasi facilitates the placement process of out-of-school students, as well as collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in building student training and training programs. The office maintains contacts with various industrial establishments, corporate houses, etc., that conduct interviews on campus and select postgraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines. The Training and Placement Office provides the infrastructure facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews, as well as other logistics activities. The Office interacts with many industries in the country, of which about 200 companies visit the campus to conduct interviews on campus. Industries that approach the institute are under the scope of: Basic Engineering Industries IT & IT Enabled Services Manufacturing Industries Consulting Firms Finance Companies Management Organizations R & D Laboratories.
The placement season runs through the course of the year beginning the last week of July through March. The conversations prior to the placement are also carried out in this regard according to mutual convenience. Job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates, etc. are announced through the training and placement office. The Placement Office is assisted by a committee composed of student representatives from the postgraduate and graduate engineering streams. Each year, the Committee develops a broad regulatory framework, as well as a set of inviolable standards. Student members are closely co-opted in the implementation of these policy decisions.
