To accommodate the servo connections, all 70 processor I / O pins are terminated as a female header and a 3-pin male header compatible with servo. Most miniature and standard servos require between 4.8V and 6V and will work directly directly from the PCB. High-power servos that require 6V or more should be powered by an external power source or directly from the battery.
Of course, the Spider controller is compatible with Arduino Mega and can be programmed via USB with the Arduino IDE, giving you access to a wide range of programming libraries for your robot to move.
The Red Back Spider controller is an Arduino compatible robot controller designed specifically for robots that use a large number of servos such as Humanoids, Hexapods and Serpents.
The Spider controller includes a switched 3A, 5V power supply which means it can power and control up to 48 standard or miniature servos.
Apply 7V - 32V to the board and Switchmode power supply provides a stable output of + 5V for electronics and servos (up to 3A). The controller comes with 3-pin servo connectors so you can connect your servos directly to the board.
