The transport of the slag is an undesirable practice which can not be completely avoided during the extraction of liquid steel from the primary steel furnace. The steel slag produced in the primary section and the secondary sections are very different in nature, although the basicity of both is about 3. Therefore, the transport furnace slag of the primary steel furnace always produces some detrimental effect in the processing of liquid steel. Since the degree of medium carbon reflux steel is difficult to melt in the ladle furnace, the transport of primary section slag makes the process very tedious. An approximate quantification of the remnant of the slag was done by simply considering the mass / material balance for the materials involved in the spoon refining process.
