Abstract
The Purpose of this research is to develop a computerized education management system for Government Islamia College Faisalabad. The main purpose of this project is to access the record related to student’s admission, fee system, attendance and examination system. It is extremely difficult to handle a large amount of data manually about students and generate accurate reports. So the purpose of this study will be converting the existing manual systems in to computer aided. Through proper computerized student’s information system, such kind of problems has eliminated and reliable report will be generated. This system will give a number of facilities to insert, delete, edit and save the record in user friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface). With the help of proposed system, the mistake and chances of error will be minimized and duplication of records/information The purposed system has been developed using VISUAL BASIC 6.0 Suite as front end and SQL Server 2000 as back end. The GUI environment will be facilitated to enter the records through keyboard and get faster access to the records.

INTRODUCTION
Information technology deals with the use of electronic computer software to convert, store, protect, process and securely retrieve information. IT is all about storing, manipulating and processing information. In recent years, he has replaced conventional conditions of business with innovative technology tools. In addition to the output and efficiency, it has introduced new concepts. 9 Modem business all over the world relies on computers to function and maintain high standards of efficiency and customer service. (Micallef, 2007).
Presently the Government Islamia College Faisalabad using the manual system. They record manually on registers and notebooks. All the work is being done on register, papers and printed sheets that are available in market.System has some drawbacks. Manual systems have lot of problems. It is hard to handle large amount of data. It is very difficult to maintain the order placing.Manual documentations has chance of errors. Large amount of time is required for the completion of record accurately. Report generating is difficult in old system.
Storing out records and depicting them in an order to create a report needs a lot of time. Indexing of a large number of records in a manual system usually fails. So to generate a report at any time is difficult. In manual system all stationary should be kept for future use. A bi junk of these records also needs a separate indexing, maintaining and staff to handle it. In current system each document has its own importance. While in current system a separate reference for every document with an index is recorded. Expert persons are needed to record information accurately and generating reports.
Maintaining all register and reports are cumbersome for staff. All these record need a big space and protection. A single record storage needs a lot of time to record it. Calculating total and effect of new records are time consuming jobs. Sorting records, filling reports sheets also need more time. All previous information have a throughout effect during academic period of student. It becomes problematic if some wrong information as been recorded. If any information required to be updated at more than one place then it should be done manually. This should need a same job to be done repeatedly (Farooq S. U. 2010).
All the stationary needed is costly. Some capable persons are needed to record and generated reports. They must clearly understand the current system and must be trained. There is the big loss to the record of previous students and if the staff needs to know what is previous results of te students there is no availability of required data. If there is arrival of new staff in the college so that teacher ot a lot of problems due to the previous record because the information is incomplete. And te faculty needs a lot of time to conduct the information of there’s subjects students (Pizzo, 2007).
Problem with the existing system are the wastage of time and difficulty in maintaining the large amount of data about students. Searching information about particular student takes a lot of time. The existing system has no back up facility, less data security, time consuming and chance of errors and to lose records. In existing system, a clerk has to update a single entry several times. So more efforts are needed for a single job to do. Human being are slower than machines. A manual work always need more time to do a same job than machines. The current system is manual and it is also slower.
OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the project is to develop a management information system (MIS), that will beneficial for management and students. The activities of the organizatios of the system will use the same central database. Technology, it is the center of a multi-tier application server will be running. This system will have many advantages over the previous manual system and will be satisfied the students and management needs as well.
REVIEW OF LITERATURE
Mark, J(2002) stated that mainly focused on the SELECT statement in SQL, Galindo et al. developed the SQL language, an extension of the SQL language that follows flexible conditions in the queries. The SQL contains DML (Data Manipulation Languageof SQL. Including SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, and UPDATE. DDL (Data Definition Language) of SQL. Including CREATE, ALTER, and DROP. Mc Fadden described that the Data tables in the form of relational data model. It is based on the mathematical theory of the relational model so that the theory of the relational model so that the theoretical foundation of a solid.
Jill K.H (2003) stated that without a true reporting it is impossible for the real advantages of a DBMS you should use powerful reporting techniques developer can use Seagate Crystal Reports to design an embed the reports into their own visual basic (VB) applications. SQL PLUS USER’S GUIDE And. We can end a SQL command in one of three types: With a semicolon (, with a slash (/) on a line by itself and with a blank line.
Holton, D. R. W. I. Nafea (2004) stated the software is accessed through a great deal of information, organized collection is called database. The client requests services, and the server provides them those services. The client sends structured query language (SQL) requests to the server. These are transitted as messages across the network. The server process the SQL request and finds the requested information, passing back the result to client. An application is a collection of files and components that works together to use the browser as the portal of a presentation pieces or a full blown applications.
Koten and Gray (2005) concluded that fundamentally, the VB 6.0 Provides everything needed to support the developer’s part to connect to the circumstances. This statement applies to the lower lovel. Developers (“local network” means), and a permanent connection to connect to a database locally, without a “road” have the ability to take data. It is to provide offline data storage infrastructure. Other technologies developer on the internet (including data access infrastructure) are allowed to appeal.
Smith, S.A(2006) showed that software, computer programs, procedures, rules, and is a collection of related records and statistics.Software engineering, software development, operation, maintenance, and systematic approach to retirement. The merits of science and computer equipment, computer programs, procedures, and documentation related to the mathematics of the application by the person who made useful. The original goal of software engineering produce high quality software at low cost.
Pizzo (2007) conclude that Contrast this with the relational model is used in the relational database. The relational model, first described in 1969 by Edgar code, relationships, or relationships between the tables, not the significance of the data. In order to implement the relational model of data consistency by minimizing duplication, as a generalization of the thread that simplifies the collection and management, is built around. Kroenke and David stated that virtually all issues regarding the effective management of data fall into at one of Content, access, Organization, accuracy, integrity, security, privacy, and cost.
Leung and Ray (2009) stated that development of frameworks can make developer more productive. In fact the frameworks may generate SQL under the covers that would make experienced developer and DBA’s tear out there hair. Add to this the fact that these SQL statements code that produced the SQL. The result, SQL performance issues that may not be detected until the application is under full load in the production environment.
Rob and Barber (2010) stated that for the security reasons, the fact a brief SQL, SQL databases you will probably be in the form of attacks against SQL injection may have heard, for example, to access and manipulate databases in Structured Query Language is the standard programming language, stands for because the name of the SQL Server, you may think that this is a Microsoft specific vulnerability, but SQL in SQL injection, rather than pointing to the fact that it is a Microsoft product.
Larsen (2011) claimed that the SQL responsibility in terms of things where a software analysis and design approach. Reported over the operations and variables. The design of object classes and relationship between classes are added. It involves manipulative the item lessons plus the interaction in between these lessons. Any class module is an indisputable fact that provides a product for that features plus the services that this item will offer you. An item on this class is an affair module.
Martin (2012) defined SQL is the language that enables us to create and operate on relational database, which are set of related information stored in tables. It eliminates a lot of work you would have to do if you are using a general purpose programming language. If we want to find some particular rows you can to enumerate each stem of the process like this: Perform a test to see if it is one of the rows you want, if so, store it somewhere until the whole table is examined.
Chan and Cheung (2013) stated that the criteria to be considered eligible for the SQL statement to be executed or both. Only SQL query, test and measurement, a procedure to quality for the SQL query language and the translation is carried out considering the use of traditional testing techniques.Techniques of data presentation include the following: Simple tabular report, tailored report. Business graphics, pictorial display (icon output) and Voice output.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
For the system development process, the designed system will use the waterfall model. The most often used software development process is waterfall technique which is a sequential design process, in which a development process is enhanced through the stage of initiation introduction, analysis, design, structure creation, testing, production and maintenance (Hoole and Taraore, 2011).
The new system will be design after considering its need for the current age technology revolution. The front end, of the new system will be design by using VB 6.0. The back end of proposed system will be SQL server. The front end will provide the GUI and back end will use for keeping records, will be designed in SQL Server. The development of an application system will be prepare under several difficult processed which are oriented as step of a hierarchy named software Developments Life Cycle (SDLC).
There are different SDLC models usually recognized and employed for developing software. SDLC models will give us instruction regarding development of software. SDLC will tolerate the manager to legalize entire development techniques of the software. Each SDLC has its benefits and disadvantages that will make it suitable for under explicit environment and constraints for particular type of projects (Massey and Satao, 2012).
Many problems occur in the software development phase manipulate the maintainability of the delivered software systems. Thus, considerate software development problem factors can help in not only reducing the incidence of project failure but can also ensure software maintainability. The study focuses on those software development problem factors which may probably affect software maintainability (Chen and Huang, 2009).
For the proposed system minimum stipulation for the user will be Intel Processor “i3”, hard disk 500 GB, RAM 4GB, DVD writer and LCD “17”. Software will also be very essential factor during the development segment of the new system. This application will entail window 7 Professional, .NET (Framework), SQL server 2000.
