Leakage of hazardous and flammable gas such as LPG in cars, service stations, homes and storage tanks can be detected using the gas sensor unit. This unit can be easily integrated into a unit that can sound an alarm. The sensor has a high sensitivity and a fast response time. This sensor can also be used to detect other gases such as isobutane, propane and even cigarette smoke. The sensor output goes LOW as soon as the sensor detects any gas leakage in the atmosphere. This is detected by the microcontroller and the buzzer is on. After a delay of a few milliseconds, the exhaust fan also turns on to blow off the gas and the main power supply turns off. A message is sent to a predefined mobile phone number.
