Voltage/ Tension control brakes
Operation
• The friction brake engages with air pressure and is designed for continuous sliding
• The brake is released by the spring when the air is exhausted
• The torque is linear in response to the applied air pressure
Mounting
• Flange screws to the frame of the machine or other accessory, the shaft is inserted into the hole and fixed with fixing screws and key provided by the customer
• Designed for horizontal or vertical mounting
Applications
• Voltage control
• For applications requiring a brake to provide tension and / or stopping of an unwind shaft
• The cooling sleeve rotates at the speed of the unwind shaft
• Maximum RPM varies by model. See the details sheets (below). Consult engineering if the intended application exceeds the stated maximum RPM.
