Background
Due to the proliferation of automobile industry there are lot of new vehicles that are been introduced in the market. But we should understand that, the pace at which automobiles are growing is not directly proportional to the infrastructure development, or forest cover.
Therefore there is a threat of environment hazard which cannot be ignored by us. In order to prevent this, automobile players are coming up with new concept cars which are based on unconventional source of energy such as electricity, solar energy, L.P.G, C.N.G etc. but they ( Automobile manufacturers) do not know how masses will react to these new “concept cars”. So questionnaire has been designed in such a way that it will cover all parameters to draw a meaningful conclusion at the end of the survey. We have listed various criterion on which respondent may give weight-age to various performance parameters.
As in all other countries, the Indian automobile industry is one of the key drivers of industrial growth and employment which will further gain in importance in the coming years. This study will help us understand how the industry’s success is quite directly linked to consumer behavior towards performance of their vehicles and its impact on environment. More importantly, this study will identify the critical constraints that will help us to record the environmental awareness among the automobile users.
This analysis is based on a comprehensive review of secondary literature and an extensive fieldwork which covered the major petrol-pumps. Given our domestic demand and the entrepreneurial talent, this would be a natural outcome.
