Introduction
DVB-H stands for “Digital Video Broad Casting – Handheld”.
DVB-H is a Technical Specification for the Transmission of Digital TV to Handheld receivers such as cell phones and PDA’s.
It is developed by International DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) Project and published by ETSI (European Telecommunication Standard Unit) in February 2004.
DVB-H is a mixture of both Telecom Operator and Broadcast Operator.

Working
DVB-T or Digital Video Broadcast- Terrestrial is the most widely used standard in use around the globe for Terrestrial Television Transmissions.
It provides many facilities and enables a far more efficient use of available radio spectrum than the previous analogue transmissions.
DVB-H uses a mechanism called Multi–Protocol Encapsulation (MPE).
Multi Protocol Encapsulation: It’s a data link layer protocol defined by DVB, it provides mean to carry packet data oriented protocols on top for MPEG stream (TS).
