The system allows a user to view the current and past registered positions of a target object in Google Map via the Internet. The system reads the current position of the object using GPS, data is sent through a GPRS service from the GSM network to a web server using the HTTP protocol POST method. The object position data is stored in the database for live and past tracking. It develops a web application using PHP, JavaScript, Ajax and MySQL with integrated Google map. Existing live tracking systems that are available today use SMS for communication with the server, which turned out to be costly. (SMS are used for communication with the device). We used the GPRS service that made our system a low cost tracking solution to locate a position and an object state. This system is very useful for auto theft situations (alarm alert, motor start, localization), so that adolescent parents control and supervise adolescent drivers (speed limit that exceeds, leaving a specific area), as well as for tracking people and pets.
