ABSTRACT
Air pre-heating means pre-heats the intake air to the carburetor is discussed in this project. In this case the efficiency of the engine is increased. The output of the engine exhaust gas is utilized to heat the intake air.
The pre-heating of the inlet air to the engine can be achieved by fixing a heat exchanger. The exhaust gas is given to the heating chamber. The atmospheric air is sucked into the heat exchanger, which is heated by the engine exhaust gas. Moreover the atmospheric air is flowing counter direction to the exhaust gas; there by effective heat transfer can be achieved. The temperature rise causes complete combustion in the engine and it is also more suitable for warming up the engine in cold conditions.
