HISTORY OF GCMMF
Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation is full name of GCMMF.
Amul was formed in 1946 by an apex co-operative organization, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation.
In the 1940s, farmers in Gujarat had few options - they had to sell their milk eitherto private milk contractors or to the single private dairy
The message is clear: never forget your primary customer.

Total Milk handling capacity per day - 13.67 Million liters per day.

Cattle feed manufacturing Capacity- 3690 Mts. per day

DEMERITS OF THE ORGANIZATION
Higher span of control leads to chaos.
Less discipline.
No unity of command
Worker can make the communication breakdown.
Problem of coordination among the subordinates.
Efficient and experienced supervisors required.
Managing the supply chain is critical
CONCLUSION AND RECCOMENDATION
After having in depth survey of the organizational structure observed at amul, ultimately we can come to the conclusion part of the project.
Amul has proved itself to work on better on this organization and avoided all the limitations of this style of the organization to its best.
Thus in real sense Amul has become the taste of India and held the same position from last 50 years.
But we would recommend Amul to keep the Scalar chain as short as possible to avoid misunderstanding and chaos.
