There are various types of cutter, which are used according to their requirement for the particular job. They are made from different material like CI, etc. But the abrasive disc cutter is the type of cutter made up of abrasive material. Our project is totally based on abrasive disc cutter & sliding motion of the motor slides on the disc plate in which the cutter is connected which reduces the manpower as in the older type cutters. There are two types of abrasives.

Our project is totally based on abrasive disc cutter & sliding motion of the motor slides on the disc plate in which the cutter is connected which reduces the manpower as in the older type cutters. There are two types of abrasives.
1) Natural abrasive: The natural abrasives contains certain types of impurities which reduce the cutting abilities & create non-uniformities in abrasive wheel.These impurities not only make difficulty in cutting action but also create non- uniformity in the wheel
2) Artificial abrasive : The artificial abrasive are man made , manufactured abrasive.They are manufagtured electro chemically.The main groups of artificial abrasives are aluminum-oxide (Al203) & silicon carbide(SiC) Here in this project we are using an artificial abrasive, which is suitable for a cutting purpose. In natural abrasives there are non uniformities but the wheels made from artificial abrasives are though so there occurs no problems in cutting.
As the abrasives cutters were designed to cut in angular motion , we have designed our abrasives cutters on sliding motion. In this there is base plate on which the sliding motor with abrasive cutter & the holding system in which we can hold the job in any angle is fitted.
The sliding motion of the cutter will reduce the man effort for cutting the job that was not is not possible in the cutter which is designed such as abrasive cutter in the angular motion. Here we can hold our job & turn in any angle we required to cut longitudinally.
We have to apply some man power on machine to put down on a job to make a required cut but we are having the abrasive cutter which is based on sliding motion of a job.
In the previous cutter we have to hold the job until we get the required cut. But in our project we have made arrangement for smooth sliding of job for smooth sliding purpose. We have machined base plate for the smooth sliding of bearings which will provide a comfort motion to a job to go in a sequence for the required cut.
This project will give complete satisfaction to the customer. It is also used in big industries as well as small industries. It is also cheaper & time consuming which is highly demanded in large & small scale industries as well as in mass production.
