ABSTRACT
Bluetooth device provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices over a secure, globally unlicensed short-range Radio Frequency, ranging from 2.402GHz-2.48 GHz in Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. Bluetooth offers a more flexible approach due its low power consumption, high data rates (742kbps) and its ability to make several simultaneous connections. The distance range is from 10mtrs to 100 meters.
We will design a RTU comprising a microcontroller interfaced with a Bluetooth Transceiver for data Transmission, a RTC for time, a Temperature Sensor for temperature and a LCD for display. At the base station a Bluetooth Transceiver is connected to a PC. A database is designed to maintain the temperatures, using Visual Studio or C Language. The programming for RTU is done using Embedded C language.
In this project we monitoring the temperature wireless using bluethooth technology. And it will stored in pc. And retrieve the data when if we requires.
